Eden Prairie Library

The Eden Prairie Library Project was designed and constructed to make the busy public library more efficient and user friendly.  The project consisted of interior space reconfigurations, new finishes, furniture replacement, installation of glass partition systems and exterior landscaping.  Design for the project involved a community engagement process that had a direct impact on the shaping of the library.  A vaulted central gathering space now features easily accessible technology and varied ergonomic seating options with height adjustable workstations. There are numerous collaboration areas with integrated media services and acoustically sensitive meeting and study spaces.  Movable furniture accommodates pop-up programs and displays, and comfortable seating surrounding an upgraded fireplace along the west side. The library also now includes dedicated Wellness rooms for public and staff as well as gender neutral/family restroom options.  

The Eden Prairie Library was awarded as one of Finance and Commerce's Top Projects of 2020
